These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and the online video consultation service (the “Service”) provided by Dr. Anup Itihas G B, Consultant Pediatrician & Neonatologist, Mangaluru, Karnataka (Karnataka Medical Council Reg. No. 120066). By booking a consultation you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service provides online pediatric video consultations, booked through our WhatsApp assistant and conducted over Google Meet, along with digital prescriptions and a follow-up messaging window. Consultations are provided in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 issued under the Indian Medical Council Act.
2. Eligibility
Bookings must be made by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over, who must also be present with the child during the video consultation.
3. Not for emergencies
Teleconsultation is suitable for routine illnesses, follow-ups, and non-emergency guidance only. If your child has severe breathing difficulty, persistent seizures, extreme lethargy, or is unresponsive, do not book online — go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
4. Booking & payment
- Appointments are booked through our WhatsApp assistant, which shows available slots.
- The consultation fee is displayed at the time of booking and is payable in advance through a secure Razorpay payment link (UPI, cards, and net-banking are supported).
- A slot is held for a limited time pending payment; if payment is not completed within that window, the hold lapses and the slot may be released to others.
- Your appointment is confirmed only after successful payment, and the video meeting link is shared on WhatsApp.
5. Cancellations, rescheduling & refunds
- Cancellation by you: if you cancel at least 2 hours before your slot (via the WhatsApp assistant), you receive a full refund or a free reschedule, whichever you prefer.
- Missed appointments: if you do not join the video call within 15 minutes of the slot time without prior notice, the consultation is treated as completed and the fee is not refundable.
- Cancellation by the doctor: if the doctor must cancel or is unable to attend, you will be offered a free reschedule or a full refund.
- Technical failure: if the consultation cannot take place because of a technical failure on our side, you will be offered a free reschedule or a full refund.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay and typically reflect within 5–7 business days.
6. Prescriptions
Any prescription is issued at the doctor’s sole professional discretion after the consultation, as a digitally signed document sent on WhatsApp. Medicines that cannot lawfully be prescribed via teleconsultation (including certain scheduled drugs) will not be prescribed; you may be advised to visit a clinic or hospital instead.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete information about your child’s condition, history, and medications.
- Ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet setting for the video call.
- Use the follow-up window only for queries related to the consultation.
8. Limitations of telemedicine
A video consultation is not a substitute for a physical examination. The doctor may, at any point, determine that your child needs an in-person examination or emergency care and direct you accordingly; in that case the consultation fee covers the advice already provided. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the Service is limited to the consultation fee paid.
9. Privacy
Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, photographs, and design, belongs to Dr. Anup Itihas G B and may not be reproduced without permission.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mangaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
